Carlo is a visual artist who works with video, film, performance and photography. His original and strange photographs combine kinetics and common objects held in tension by absurd orchestrations or scenarios. Born in Romagnano Sesia, Piedmont, Italy, 1960, Carlo studied at Accademia delle Belle Arti of Brera in Milan from 1985-1989. As a young artist he received top placement at the Saatchi & Saatchi New Creators Showcase and later moved to New York City where he was awarded a Fellowship for Photography by the New York Foundation for the Arts. Ferraris has participated in numerous exhibitions in Europe and the U.S. His work has been published and reviewed in many publications including The New York Times, Art in America, and Flash Art, among others.
