My name is Ryan and I’m from Greensboro, North Carolina. I work at the local farmers market where I drive a forklift and help with an outdoor statuary shop. I love my job! I was adopted by my mother’s high school boyfriend and I have always seen him as my real and only dad. My mother is partly from Native American descent, and, from what I know about my biological father, he is of African-American and Native American heritage. My biological father’s absence has helped me to see that family is more than blood and I can choose who’s in my life. My favorite hobby is anything to do with Marvel and DC comics, whether it’s watching movies, videos, or reading them. Their art style is perfect in my eyes and the deeper meaning is more significant than you realize. Comics showed me that if I ever get in a position of power or influence in anyway, my goal would be to help people, specifically those that struggle with mental illnesses like depression and anxiety.
